JC Roofing & Insulating, Inc. (“JC Roofing”, “we”, “us”) operates jcroofing.com and provides commercial and residential roofing services in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

From visitors to this website
If you submit a contact or quote request form, we collect the information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the property address, and any details you provide about the work you need. We also collect standard website analytics such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location.
From customers
Contact details, property information, job history and billing information necessary to quote, schedule, perform and invoice roofing work.
From our employees
Name, work email address, and optionally a mobile phone number used to send notifications about work assigned to them.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, schedule and perform roofing work, invoice customers, keep records of work performed for warranty and legal purposes, and manage our own crews.
Text message notifications
JC Roofing & Insulating, Inc. collects mobile phone numbers from our own employees for the purpose of sending job assignment notifications through our internal job tracking system. This section describes that messaging program.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with anyone. No mobile information, opt-in data, or messaging consent is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
What we collect and why. An employee’s mobile phone number and their choice to receive text notifications. This information is used only to send them notifications about repair and quote requests assigned to them, and occasional updates about those jobs. It is not used for any other purpose.
How consent is given. Employees are added to our job tracking system by a company owner. Each employee signs in with their own email address and chooses in their own profile settings whether to receive text notifications. Text notifications are off by default and are sent only after the employee turns them on. We do not collect mobile numbers from customers or members of the public for text messaging.
Message frequency. Frequency varies with workload. A crew lead typically receives a few messages per week.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient’s mobile carrier and plan.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text notifications. Reply HELP for help. Employees may also turn text notifications off at any time in their profile settings. Opting out of text messages does not affect email notifications or access to the system.
How messages are delivered. Text messages are delivered by Twilio, our messaging service provider, acting on our behalf and only for this purpose.
When an employee leaves. Their access to the system is removed and their mobile number is no longer used.

Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate our business, such as our software, hosting, accounting and messaging providers, and only to the extent needed to provide those services. We may also share information where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep information
Customer and job records are kept as long as needed for business, warranty and legal purposes.
Your choices
To ask what information we hold about you, or to correct or remove it, contact us using the details below. Employees may turn text notifications off at any time in their profile settings.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
